Buyers want to imagine themselves living in your home—not feel like they’re intruding on yours.
 Pack away family photos, kids’ artwork, and personal collections.
Clear off counters, nightstands, and entry tables.
 Tidy up closets and storage spaces.

2. Deep Clean the “Big 3”: Kitchen, Bathrooms, and Floors
These areas get the most scrutiny from buyers.
 Scrub appliances, cabinets, sinks, and grout.
 Replace stained caulking or chipped tiles.
 Mop and vacuum every room (consider steam cleaning if needed).

3. Let There Be Light
Clean windows inside and out to let in natural light.
 Open curtains and blinds before every showing.
 Turn on lights in every room—even during the day—to make your home feel bright and welcoming.

4. Pet? What Pet?
Buyers shouldn’t be greeted by a litter box or fur tumbleweeds.
 Vacuum regularly, especially before showings.
 Remove pet beds, bowls, and toys.
 Use subtle air fresheners to keep the house smelling clean—but not perfumed.

5. Keep the Entry Spotless
The first few seconds set the tone.
 Sweep the front porch or steps.
 Shake out the welcome mat.
 Clean or replace your front door hardware if it’s worn or rusted.
